Donna is
a big fan of Good News Week. Can you tell?
One of
the highlights of Donna's week is watching the antics of Paul
McDermott and his fabulously funny guests in their weekly rampages
through the latest news items. My personal favourite is the picture
of Sandy and Flacco [below]. For those of you unfortunate people who
have never seen this program, it is a satirical "game show" - ('There
are NO PRIZES!' as host Paul McDermott is fond of reminding some of
the more zealous participants) that is based on current news items.
Guests on the show have included politicians (of varying levels of
intelligence) writers, media figures, comedians and musicians. The
contestants (four guests) ally themselves to either Mikey's team or
Julie's team and fight it out to see who knows the most about current
events and who can outshine the other at witty remarks about the said
events. I like Paul's wonderful singing and the great interludes
featuring the brilliant Sandy and Flacco. Good News
Week
can be seen on channel 10 (Australia) on Monday and Thursday.
