This is what I am working on at the moment. it's a colour version of a piece I did in lead pencil a few years ago (Title: Djokrane). I liked the look of it so I decided to convert it to colour, as I often do. This image is almost complete and when I am satisfied with it... no, let me re-phrase that, when I am sick of it, I'll upload a more refined copy. We now have a snazzy border and some rather swish skin tones... |

Just as a matter of interest, this is my "desk". It's actually a coffee table but it is perfect for my needs. I always sit on the floor anyway so I have no trouble working here. In fact this is an improvement as I now have a great deal of natural light to work under. Non-artists may not realise it but the types of light you work under can make a big difference to how your work looks and how your percieve colour. This was especially evident to me when doing needlepoint. There were 7 greens that I simply could not tell apart under artificial light. If you work under artificial light, I suggest you get a "day globe". At the moment this table also has a computer on it, in addition to the one in my room. |
