Owls.
These 2 pieces were done in about '94. Stretching my memory, (it hurts) I believe this is supposed to be an Australian Masked owl. [right] It does resemble a barn owl, but I think it just looks cool, so I thought I'd like one of my own! At the time I really liked the moon. I don't think I've been able to do one quite like it since!

This is my "Snow Owl" [left] I can't remember if there really is such a thing, but that is what this is called. You can really make a difference by using colours of different temperatures, because the owls themselves are very similar in colour, yet they look... completely different.

Australian Natives:
Crimson Rosellas [right] are a personal favorite of mine. These two lads were the first piece I completed in 96 -on New Year's Day no less. Yeah, I know, "Get a life."

This austere fellow [left] was completed while I was sitting around at an exhibition. I sold very little and came to the conclusion that I don't have what it takes to go commercial. It is a sad fact of life that people won't pay for original art. (Unless it has the name of a dead person on it.) gallery
